

Ms. Amy ChanIAFHK Chair, IAF CertifiedTM Professional Facilitator

Amy is the founder, facilitator and executive coach of her company, Alive Consulting and Coaching. She was born in Hong Kong and studied in Canada. Amy comes from a learning and talent development background with more than 18 years of regional corporate experience in a number of multinational corporations. She draws from these valuable experiences and further develops her facilitation skills so that she can better serve the Hong Kong community and the city that she adores. She has a extensive range of facilitation experience with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. From Fortune 500® companies to small nonprofits, she has worked with organizations of all sizes and scope across many countries in Asia.
Amy holds a MSc in SHRM from Hong Kong Baptist University, and a B.A. (Hons) from University of Toronto.
Ms. Rita ChanIAFHK Vice-Chair

Ms. Rita Chan is the Human Resources Director at a Fortune 100 organization. She worked in the financial services sector and advertising and has a strong passion in organizational and talent development. Ms.Chan has over 20 years of professional experience. She believes meaningful dialogue can make a difference and facilitation can make lasting and positive impact for all generations especially during change. She believes facilitation and culture competency is a skill for success in digital generations.
Ms. Chan believes that the one of the most pressing challenges of our time is creating space for meaningful dialogues for people to express and to be heard authentically in a safe environment. She hopes that we can work towards an inclusive and meaningful environment for diverse culture and groups. She also dedicates her time and resources towards young talent development to unleash the potential that younger generations have. She hopes that these young talents an generate more positive and sustainable changes to workplaces and universities.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ms. Chan obtained her B.A. from the City University of Hong Kong. She is a certified coach focusing on brain-based coaching and strengths-based development.
Ms. Candice LamBoard Member

Coming from a grass-root family, Candice Lam is grateful for her parents who made extra effort to provide her with opportunities for education and professional development. She attained a Diploma in Social Work from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a Diploma in Social Planning in Developing Countries, and a Master of Science degree in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a registered social worker.
With a professional background in social work, social planning, and social policy and administration, Candice had worked in rehabilitation services and student development, specialized in organizational governance and development. She was the deputy chief executive officer of The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation for over 17 years, and now the College Secretary of Shaw College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Candice is a founding member of the International Association of Facilitators - Hong Kong, and currently the Secretary and Treasurer, after experiencing the power of facilitation and becomes interested in it.
Ms. Michelle LeungBoard Member

Michelle is a professional coach who works with leaders of all levels across a large variety of industries. She is moved by the essence of facilitation—everybody’s voice can be heard—and she believes facilitation can bring in fresh perspectives, expand possibilities, and create more sustainable and practical results.
Before becoming a coach, she was a seasoned marketer in Fortune 500 companies. While working with multi-functional teams in different regions around the globe, she experienced the first-hand benefits of using facilitation to build consensus, develop strategies, brainstorm, and even build effective teams with different stakeholders.
She wants to learn and grow together in this facilitator community to create the space for having more meaningful dialogues in Hong Kong.
Michelle has possessed an MBA degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD University in Singapore. She is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and ICF Registered Mentor Coach.
Mr. Steven MakBoard Member

Steven Mak currently works for Odd-e. He focuses on reviving the joy of software development with agile approaches.
Modern day software development requires a lot of creativity and problem solving skills. This can only be achieved with a self-managing team work. That is why facilitation skills become essential. Steven noticed a strong synergy between software development and the facilitation skills when they were applied. He is passionate about sharing his facilitation skills with other members in the I.T. industry and society overall.
Steven became interested in programming when he was in primary school. He then later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. To further develop his understanding of teams, customers, and products, he completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Imperial College London.

Ivy is the principal consultant of Inspire Vital Yours which is of focus in executive coaching, facilitating leaders’ development and organizational transformation. Prior to the practice in consulting field, she held different leadership roles in Human Resources in Global and leading Corporations in diverse industries including financial, consumer goods, luxury sector and property development.
Ivy believes that the increasing complicated operating environments and emerging multitudinous groups of stakeholder compound the complexity in interactions and communications, facilitation appears to be even more demanded as it helps open up space for participation, generate creativity, raise clarity and cultivate meaningful aligned results.
Ivy has an MSc in Organizational Behaviour (London University), an MBA (University of Hull) and a BA (Hong Kong Baptist University) and she is a Project Management Professional (PMI).
